During recruit school you experience countless situations that are worth writing down and recounting. These 11 situations will give you a small sample of everyday military life, which you will experience in a slightly different form.

Soldier 1: “Wow, there’s polenta!” Soldier 2: “Hey kitchen chef, you could do this more often.”

Field soldat: “We lost a gun? Never mind, we’ll keep looking tomorrow.”

Platoon leader: “Watch out: if only one of you fucks up, only that one will be punished.”

Random person: “The beret suits you very well”. Soldier: “I hear that very often, thank you.”

Field soldat: “Recruits, your room is a mess, I’ve cleaned it up for you now, but this is the last time.”

Platoon leader: “The whole thing STOP! We’ll abort the shooting exercise, otherwise it will be too expensive.”

Soldier: “The combat boots are very comfortable, luckily I have broken them in.”

Platoon leader: “Uiuiui, the blister looks very bad, you are dispensed for all marches, soldier.”

Soldier: “I sleep really well in the barracks! Nobody snores, nobody talks during sleep and the 5 hours are absolutely sufficient.”

Guard: “No matter what happens, take your time with the rifle and shining your shoes and especially with the shower.”

Guard: “Dear recruits, we only clean our military equipment when it really isn’t clean.”
